KPI Dashboard โ Directorate Performance Monitoring
A three-level drill-down dashboard giving senior management an immediate read on performance across multiple business groups, each with their own unique KPI structures.

The Problem
The Micro Banking Directorate oversees multiple groups, each measured against distinct KPIs. Tracking performance required consolidating spreadsheets and slide decks โ a process that was time-consuming, error-prone, and always slightly outdated.
Design a single dashboard that gives directorate leadership an immediate read on overall performance, while allowing drill-down into individual groups โ each with their own unique KPI structures โ without overwhelming the interface.
The Core Challenge: Heterogeneous KPIs
Unlike a typical analytics dashboard where every row shares the same metrics, each group tracks entirely different KPIs โ different names, units, and targets. A loan origination group measures disbursement volume; an agent banking group measures active agents. The dashboard needed a flexible structure that accommodated this while enabling cross-group comparison.
Traffic-Light Status Over Precision
Executives scanning 6โ8 groups need pattern recognition, not precision. Green/amber/red status indicators at the top level let them immediately identify which groups need attention โ the exact percentage is one click deeper.
SEVP Aggregate View
The highest-level SEVP dashboard aggregates performance across all sub-directorates into a single navigable view โ designed for C-level consumption in seconds, not minutes. Tab navigation separates metric categories cleanly without context switching.
Key Design Decisions
One Flexible Card Component for All Metric Types
Rather than building completely custom layouts per group, I designed a single flexible card that adapts to any metric type (percentage, absolute number, currency, count). Every group page looks like it belongs to the same product, even though the content is entirely different.
Outcome
Design completed and handed off to engineering โ currently in development. First time the directorate has a single source of truth across all groups, replacing the weekly manual spreadsheet consolidation process.
